![]() ![]() The company that's making like five stealth action games? That wanted Bloodborne and Nioh? They don't care about variety, certainly not beyond appealing to their audience. It's a rollercoaster, thundering from start to finish. There are parts of Bayo where you do 'puzzles', in the purgatory bits, but not really. Also, I think you kind of missed what I alluding to. I can't see them coughing up for a straight character action game.Ĭlick to shrink.Firstly, I didn't say Bayonetta wasn't closer to DMC1 than later DMCs was, so I'm not sure what your point is. I also think it's likely, especially given Sony throwing money in there. I'm not saying I want Bloodborne / Nioh, not to that extreme, but I think it should be more of a journey/experience than 4 was. I want DMCV to be that, go back to where the combat wasn't THE thing, as it was in later entries, and is in Bayonetta. Your character action encounters happen, but within an RE-like scenario and progression design, if not streamlined, maybe a bit too much. The first DMC's RE roots are expressly clear. If you look at what RE7 is, which is to say a reconstruction of the first entry, within the context of current game design trends and preferences, I (like to) think DMCV will be along that same direction. It can't be DMC4-2, that would be ludicrous. I'm not expecting Bayo 3 to be a surprising game. I feel like coming back, after all this time, and cheaping out like they did with 4 would just be insane.
